Adobe Photoshop Lightroom- Introduction to Lightroom

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is one of the biggest picture planning applications in the marketplace. It's not images modifying application like Adobe Photoshop, but it does have some resources for modifying images.

What Lightroom is all about is assisting you planning your selection of images and it has some really highly effective resources for that. It also has highly effective resources for managing RAW images and you might as well end up using nothing but Lightroom to modify your RAW images, like myself.

Is Lightroom only for RAW shooters? Definitely not! You still have to arrange your images and that's the objective of Lightroom.

There are other picture planning applications in the marketplace, like ACDSee, Picasa, Aperture, Catch One and others, but this website will only concentrate on Adobe's Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and it shouldn't be that challenging to determine which one I desire...

Lightroom is not no cost application but you can obtain a test offer edition from Adobe which you can use for 1 month to choose whether or not it's something for you.

Introduction to Lightroom

Lightroom involves 5 different "modules" or areas and you can choose component by hitting them in the higher right area of the Lightroom screen. You may also use strategies for each component.

Library module

The Collection is where you arrange all your images.

Lightroom uses two significant functions to arrange your images - Key terms and Selections. Which one is best will depend on what type of images you capture and how you will be using Lightroom.

I use both Key terms and Selections but I desire Selections.

The bigger the selection of images you have, all the more purpose to use both keywords and collections.

Except planning your images by keywords and collections, you may also amount and shade brand your images. I try to amount all images but hardly never use shade brands.

Develop module

This component is all about changing your images. You may do some changing in the Collection component, but it's in the Create component the energy sets. Here you can modify Bright Stability, Sharpness and much more.

Much of the perform that you have been doing in Adobe Photoshop or other applications, can be done in the Create component. At least provided that it has to do with changing your images. Actual picture editing/manipulation still has to be done in other applications.

Slideshow

This component is let's you create slideshows of your images. It can certainly create a slide show of all your images in the "filmstrip". It's like Ms PowerPoint, but with much less alternatives, resources and energy, but it might be fun to perform with.
